| General Overview | Saagran joined Starfleet in the aftermath of his parent's deaths in 2407. He rarely speaks about them, saying that he "prefers to speak about the living." He gets along tolerably well with most species but has a distrust of El-Aurians, which he blames on the recent troubles in the Federation. | |
| Strengths & Weaknesses | Saagran acquired a reputation at Starfleet Academy for being a trickster and prankster. He's worked hard to shake it in the time since - fitness reports filed in the intervening years show a steady maturation and professional growth and development, which led to his being on the command track. On the other hand however it's not entirely clear that he wants a command of his own. Starfleet has pulled out the chair twice before, and he declined both times. He says "he's comfortable where he's at," when asked. He also has a remarkable memory for general cultural data on most known sentient species, and has been commended for his contributions to several first-contact scenarios. |

| Personal History | Saagran was born in 2382 on a remote frontier mining colony on the Romulan border. Much of his early life is a question mark. It's known that he spent time working in the mines, before escaping the life when his parents scraped together enough credits to send him off-world to live with an uncle on Barolia. Following their deaths in 2407 he joined Starfleet. He says joining was a way to make their sacrifices mean something. |
