| General Overview | Ava Lee was born on the colony world of Nilus. Her parents were both engineers who worked for the colony's infrastructure development program. Growing up, Ava was always fascinated by the advanced technology that surrounded her, and she quickly developed a keen interest in engineering. As an engineer, Ava has a very logical brain. She expects those around her to be able to keep up and follow her thought process. She has no patience for the completely incapable or inept but is also able to mentor those she sees ability in. | Personal History | Ava grew up as the first generation born on Nilus colony in the Beta Quadrant. Both of her parents were engineers that were actively building and modifying the colony's infrastructure. Ava took an interest in this at a young age and naturally fell into engineering. She was identified as a young teenager and a candidate for Starfleet academy. Ava ramped up her education, studying above and beyond the colony school's curriculum. Getting into the academy had never been on her radar, she always thought her life would be on Nilus, but once accepted Ava found she loved the adventure of space travel. After graduating from the academy she was assigned first to a Starbase as a junior engineer and then was posted to the USS Elkins as its Chief Engineer. |
